Nothing Lasts Forever

This saying used to be one of my least favorites. It seemed so depressing. When it was mentioned, I pictured friendships, families, bonds of trust, broken and mangled. Not a very pretty picture. I could see the truth in the saying but not the bright side of it. But then I thought of it differently when someone applied it to different topics. Topics like misery, fear, confusion... you get the picture. This changed my view a little. And the saying "Nothing lasts forever" went from a dark message to one of a light at the end of the tunnel. A reminder that there is an end to everything...nothing lasts forever.
